Professor Jonathan Krieckhaus (Department of Political Science, University of Missouri) will discuss his new book Geopolitical Economy: The South Korean FTA Strategy, published earlier this year by the University of Michigan Press.  Geopolitical Economy examines free trade agreements (FTAs) -- the primary policy tool through which states seek access to international markets. The book focuses specifically on how FTAs are used by South Korea, which is the world's leader in the number and significance of its FTAs, as well as the world's sixth-largest export economy.
